Joan Elizabeth Williams
August 27, 1951 — June 28, 2023
Joan Elizabeth Williams, age 71, of Live Oak, FL passed away Wednesday morning, June 28, 2023 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ft. Pierce, FL living most of her life in Live Oak, FL where she and her husband, owned and operated Tri County Irrigation. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Live Oak. She loved working in her yard, fishing and hunting. Joan loved her family with all her heart. Her most treasured moments were the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James D. Williams, Jr.; two sons, James David “J.D.” Williams, III and Eric Williams all of Live Oak, FL; one daughter, Elizabeth (Jud) Strickland, St. Johns, FL; one brother, William “Bill” Tuten, Inverness, FL; one sister, Phyllis Vitt, Inverness, FL; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation was held, Friday, June 30, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Sweitzer officiating. Interment followed in the Tiger Lake Baptist Church Cemetery.
