Joe Lee Cook

Joe Lee Cook, age 76, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019. He was born in Adel, GA moving to Live Oak in 2002 from Plant City, FL. Joe was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He worked for the CSX Railroad as a conductor for many years before moving to Live Oak. He was a Mason, Shriner and member of the American Legion. He loved the outdoors, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Greenwald, Live Oak; two daughters, Jeannie Cook, Davenport, FL and Jackie Moore, Gibsonton, FL; two brothers, James Cook, Plant City, FL and Edgar Cook, Live Oak, FL; three sister, Sue Buttorss, Clara Mae Wiggins, Sandi Faye Pitts; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 1:30 PM, Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Anthony Brasso officiating. Interment followed in the Marybelle Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held Wednesday from 11 to 12 PM at the funeral home.
