John Donald Cummings

John Donald Cummings, age 54, of Live Oak, FL passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at his home following a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Oak Harbor, Washington moving to Live Oak in 1998 from Bradenton, FL. He was a heavy equipment operator for Shenandoah Dairy and enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and FSU Football. His most enjoyed moments were spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile and great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Cummings; two daughters, Wendy Chauncey and Misty Cummings all of Live Oak; six brothers, Ron Cummings, Nampa, Idaho; Sam Cummings, Tampa, FL; Brian Cummings, Roy Cummings and David Cummings all of Bradenton, FL; Mike Cummings, Sweetwater, TN; two sisters, Jinx Stanley, Brandon, FL; Toni Barton, Spring Hill, FL; seven grandchildren. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. Pat Chewney officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 Hwy 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055.
