John Wesley Henley April 29, 1945 * February 19, 2012 John Wesley Henley, Sr., age 66 of Live Oak, FL passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at his home. The Ft. Myers, FL native moved to Live Oak two years ago. He worked for many years as a Grocery Store Manager. Wesley was the Fire Commissioner for twelve years with the Tice Fire Dept in Tice, FL. He loved his kids and grandkids with all his heart and enjoyed working in his rose garden. He was a practical joker that could always put a smile on your face and was a member of the Lee County Sheriff’s Posse and the Labelle First Baptist Church in Labelle, FL. He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Barbara Henley, Live Oak, FL; three sons, Stephen Woodard, Williamsburg, VA; Mark Woodard, Miami, FL; John Henley, Cape Coral, FL; one daughter, Stephanie Wanicka, Hendersonville, NC; one brother, Joe Henley, Hatch Bend, FL; two sisters, Virginia Holmes, Lehigh Acres, FL; Connie Stanfield, Ft. Myers, FL; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 at the graveside in the Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Rob Edge officiating.
