John "Johnny Choo-Choo" Franklin Salmons

On August 8 ^th , 2022 "Johnny Choo Choo", died at his home in Wellborn, Florida. He was 63 years old.

Johnny Choo Choo is survived by an Aunt Lounita Barnhill of Deland, Florida, a cousin Carol Yates Brent of Lake City, Florida and a brother-in-law Calvin Perry of Wellborn, Florida.  He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Mildred Salmons, a sister Joan E. “Liz” Perry and his brother Clark “Bubba” Salmons.

Johnny Choo Choo was born on November 21, 1958 in Gainesville, Florida. He graduated from Suwannee High School in 1977 .

Johnny Choo Choo was the third child born to Ben and Mildred Salmons. He lived In Gainesville until 1973. At the age of 15 years old he and his family moved to Wellborn, Florida. Johnny Choo Choo was a very unique person, he tried to see the good in everyone, always have a smile and kind word for everyone he met. He had an amazing memory for dates and events. He had an incredible love for music and trains.

Memorial services were held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Wellborn, FL with Pastor Sherry Adams officiating.
