John Murray, age 82, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018. He was a native of Astoria Queens, NY moving to Live Oak in 1990 from Monroe, NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Korean War. John worked as a building manager for the Whitney Museum of American Art for many years before retiring and moving to Live Oak. He enjoyed traveling, sailing, gardening, reading, animals, photography and mathematics.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica Murray, Live Oak; one son, Kenneth (Nancy) Murray, Pinecrest, FL; his ex-wife, Patricia J. Murray, Palm Harbor, FL; two grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.
As per his wishes, finalization will be by cremation.
