John Ashley Panaway, age 65, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018. He was born in Lee, FL moving to Live Oak twenty years ago from Hamilton County, FL. He worked as a grader operator for the Suwannee County Road Department for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all else, what he valued most was the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Bass Panaway, Live Oak; three sons, Charlie Crews, Williston, FL; Lee (Danielle) Connors and Chaise Connors, both of Jasper, FL; two daughters, Joy Thomas, Lake City, FL and Elizabeth Crews, Live Oak; one brother, Terry Williams, Tallahassee, FL; three sisters, Martha (Bradley) Smith, Starke, FL; Patricia (Jim) Whitehead and Dama (Jeff) Murphy both of Tallahassee, FL and four grandchildren.
Visitation was held, Friday evening, August 24th from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Edgar Woods officiating. Interment  followed in the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery.
