Joy Smith, age 89, of Branford, FL, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at her home following a brief illness. She was born on September 29, 1932 in Boston, GA living most of her life in Suwannee County since 1959. She was a loving wife, mother and Mema, who loved her family and spending every moment she could with her grandkids and great grandkids. She also loved to fish any chance she got, especially with her husband.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Onor Lee Pafford; a son, Charles Pafford and a granddaughter, Pam Pafford.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Smith, Sr., Branford, FL; one son, Walter (Theenie) Smith, Jr., Branford, FL; two daughters, Lynn (Cliff) Ward, Branford, FL; Ann (Terry) Rogers, Live Oak, FL; a daughter-in-law, Pat Pafford; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in the Live Oak Cemetery with Mr. Jeff Boatright officiating.
