Joyce Mercer Sapp

Joyce Mercer Sapp, age 85, of Live Oak, FL passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Shands Live Oak. She was born in Waycross, GA living most of her life in Live Oak. She worked for many years as an operator for North Florida Telephone Company. Joyce loved to read, swim and go for walks. Her most treasured moments were spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Clayland Baptist Church. She is survived by her companion, Willie Russell, Live Oak; one son, Greg Sapp, Live Oak; one daughter, Marilyn Jenkins, Live Oak; one sister, Jonie Riggins, Hoboken, GA; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren. Graveside services were held 11:00 AM, Friday, October 24, 2014 in the Live Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior’s Project, 4899 Belfort Road #300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
