Julian Carl Moore, Sr.

Julian Carl Moore, Sr., age 94, formally of Live Oak, FL passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his home in Ft. White, FL. He was born in Lake City, FL, living most of his life in Live Oak where he worked as a Line Crew Foreman for Florida Power and Light for over forty years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as Corporal during the Korean conflict in 1950. He was a member of the Live Oak Elks Lodge #1165 and was a two time Exalted Ruler and Past Secretary. He served on the board of directors and also the board of directors for the Florida Elk’s Children’s Hospital and was a member of the Florida State Elks Association where he was an honorary life member. He was a member of the Corner Stone Baptist Church in Ft. White.

He was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Ruth Moore; his brother, Bobby Moore; a sister, Wyleen Burton and his oldest son, Julian Carl Moore, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Patti Moore; devoted children, Sherri (Don) Foreman; two sons, Robbie Moore and Rick Moore and his daughter-in-law, Anne Moore; three step sons, Donald Payne, Jay Payne, Roy Payne, Jr. and one step daughter, Tiffany Payne; four grandchildren, Karla Carter, Bubba Harris, Robbie Moore and Ty Ragans; five step grandchildren, Jeffrey Payne, Justin Payne, Austin Payne, Conner Payne and Kinsley Payne; fourteen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, one step great grandchild and many loving nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life services were held, Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Huntsville Church, 212 Huntsville Church Drive, Lake City, FL 32055 with Mr. Donald Watson and Rev. Dan Rogers officiating.
