Kathleen Gamble Googe

Kathleen Googe February 14,1931 * January 13,2013 Kathleen Googe, age 81 of Live Oak, FL passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, FL following a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Live Oak working for many years as a bookkeeper for Faye’s Flowers. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing canasta and scrabble with her family and friends but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. Kathleen was very proud of all the accomplishments her children and grandchildren have made and was a loving and caring mother, sister and granny who will be missed deeply by all who knew her. She was a past member of the Jr. Women’s Club and a member of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Googe in 2007. She is survived by three daughters, Madonna (Don) Wood, Live Oak; Robin (Kenneth) Barron, Crawfordville, FL; Kim (Walter) Boatright, Live Oak; one brother, J.B. Gamble, Live Oak; two sisters Shirley Sperring and Margaret Kilpatrick both of Live Oak; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visitation was held, Tuesday, January 15th from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. A celebration of her life was held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in the First United Methodist Church.
