Leonora Lawhon Hale

Leonora Kay Hale, age 72, formerly of Live Oak, FL passed away, January 30, 2024, at Shands UF in Gainesville, FL. She was born in Brooksville, FL, living in Live Oak and Gainesville, FL before moving to Chiefland, FL where she had resided for the past twenty years. Leonora graduated from Suwannee High School and worked in the insurance industry alongside her husband as office manager.  She loved the outdoors and animals, fishing, horses, dogs and flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Hale, Chiefland, FL; two sisters, Chris McCumber, Tallahassee, FL and Lynette (Frank) Kane, Ft. Myers, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside services were held in the Live Oak Cemetery with Pastor Fred Edwards officiating.
