Linda Gail Jernigan, age 77, of Live Oak, FL passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia. She was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak where she worked in retail management for K-Mart for many years. Linda Gail was a family service volunteer for the United States Air-Force during her husband’s military career. She loved cake decorating and researching genealogy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wes Jernigan; parents, M.Jay and Audrey Kirby and a brother, Michael Kirby.
She is survived by three daughters, Paula (Robert) McKenzie, Crestview, FL; Grace (Joseph) Sitterly, Universal City, TX and Diane Jernigan, Live Oak; one son, Jay (Kelly) Jernigan, Green Cove Springs, FL; one brother, Leslie (Sheryl) Kirby, Gainesville, FL; two sisters, Nadine (James) Fouraker, Wellborn, FL; Marilyn (Richard) Jones, Live Oak; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, July 9th from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Sweitzer officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery.
