Lou Mills

Lou Mills, 105 of Live Oak, Florida died Tuesday morning, June 11, 2013, at Surry Place Care Center in Live Oak, FL. The Fort Payne, Alabama native moved to Live Oak in 1945 from Chattanooga, TN. Lou graduated from Lecher’s Business College in Gadsden, Alabama and worked for many years in the banking business. Following her retirement she spent most of her time playing golf having the experience of two holes-in-one and played eighteen holes a day up to the age of 96. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was a member of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Survivors include one son, Robert Houston Mills, Macon, GA; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation was held Thursday June, 13th from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Private family graveside services were held in the Live Oak Cemetery.
