Marcus Walden Durham, age 87, of Live Oak, FL passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. He was a native and lifelong resident of Live Oak. Marcus proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and Vietnam conflict and retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as an E-7. He was a member of the Clayland Baptist Church and the Barrett Masonic Lodge #43. He is survived by his wife, Lavone Durham, Live Oak; two sons, Mark (Sheila) Durham, Live Oak and Ronald (Brenda) Leggett, Live Oak; one daughter, Kilinda (Greg) Kastor, Pensacola, FL; one brother, Julian Durham, Live Oak; three sisters, Annie McIntosh, Live Oak; Estelle Sontag, Heron Lake, MN; Stella Bacrhaus, Salona Beach, CA; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Clayland Baptist Church with Ronald Leggett officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with full military rites at the graveside. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
