Marilyn Burnham, 75 of Wellborn, Florida passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at her home following a difficult battle with cancer. Mrs. Burnham was born on November 10, 1932 in Jacksonville, FL. She had been a Suwannee County resident since 1947, and was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Wellborn, Florida. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a wonderful homemaker. She loved her family very much and enjoyed reading and traveling. Survivors include one son, George Burnham, Jr. and wife, Sheila of Live Oak; three daughters, Marleen Tyre and husband, Don of Marianna, FL; Colleen Smith and husband, Russell, of Wellborn, FL and Cheryl Sellers and husband, Robert of Live Oak, FL; one sister, Jeanne Ciha of Toledo Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Gertrude Emlet and Laura Beatty of Vero Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Georgette Robinson, Jennifer Burnham, Trevor Tyre, David Smith, Jr., Michael Smith, James Sellers and Aaron Sellers; six great grandchildren, Angel Sellers, Taylor and Tristan Robinson, Josiah and Troy Lee Smith and Jasmine Williams, and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 9th at 11:00 am at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Wellborn, FL with Rev. David Smith, Jr. of Tampa, Rev. Roland Rabon of Marianna, Rev. Louis Gooch of Wellborn, officiating. Interment followed in the Crawford Lake Cemetery in McAlpin, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that contributions be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 W. US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055, Crawford Lake Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 872, Live Oak, FL 32064 or Gideon’s International.
