Martha Ainsworth Porter

Martha Ainsworth Porter, age 84, of Dowling Park, FL, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center / Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL, following a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Meridian, Mississippi living most of her life in Tallahassee, FL before moving to Dowling Park, FL.  She worked as a family counselor for Culley Funeral Home for several years before retiring and settling down in Dowling Park and was a member of the Dowling Park Church of God.

She was predeceased by her parents, Floyd and Lois Ainsworth and her brother, Dr. Sterling Ainsworth, her late husbands, Earl Rhody and Dexter Porter.

She is survived by two sons, Samuel (Debbie) Rhody, Freeport, FL and Michael (Eva) Rhody, Tallahassee, FL; one stepson, Mike Porter, Tallahassee, FL; two daughters, Vanessa Rhody, Metairie Louisiana and Valarie (Mark) Gallarelli, Winter Garden, FL; six grandchildren, Michael (Lauren) Rhody, Jr.; Kevin (LeAnna) Rhody; Matthew Rhody, Samantha (Evan) Rogowski; Cory (Victoria) Gallarelli; Amanda Gallarelli and eight great grandchildren, Peyton, Palmer, Emaline, Chase, Jonathan, Jack, Asher and Lucy Kate.

Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM, Monday, April 27, 2026, in the Dowling Park Church of God with Pastor Wendell Rudd officiating.  Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
