Martina Chavez Palacios

Martina Chavez Palacios, age 99, of O’Brien, FL, passed away, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at her home in O’Brien surrounded by loved ones and her beloved dog, Pinto. She was born in Dr. Arroyo-Nuevo, Leon Mexico on March 19, 1924 and was married to Jose Santo Palacios. A daughter, wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma.
Martina enjoyed being a mother first. As a result, her strength and hard work carried her through various places in the U.S. as she traveled for work with her husband and children. She was a great cook, loved to crochet, sew and telling jokes.
She is survived by her children, grandkids and great grandkids.
Joe Santos Palacios, Jr., wife Mary and their children, Michael, Robert, Carmen and their grandkids, Little Michael, Elijah, Isiah, Ashley, Ilian, Gabriel, Summer & David. Her daughter, Guillermina Palacios; Ernesto Palacios, his sons and daughter, Israel, Gabriel, and Roxanne and his grandkids, Gabriel, Joshua, Jonavan, Jaden & Kiera; Eristeo Palacios & his wife, Nancy; Juan Palacios and his wife, Manuela and their daughters, Merlyn and her husband, Rey Gonzalez and their kids, Elija, Ella Amor, Elyse Joy; their daughter, Monique and her husband, Rick Rivera and their kids, Ezekiel, Fernando & Madelyn; her daughter, Irma Soto and her husband Jose and their kids, Lillian and Noe.
He was predeceased by her husband, Jose Santos Palacios, Sr.
She was predeceased by her son, Damacios Palacios, surviving wife, Aurora and their sons, Alex Armando and Junior and his wife, Amelia; Predeceased by her daughter, Nicolisa Palacios and her deceased son, Juan Palacios;
We will remember Martina’s life as someone who overcame obstacles because she was tough, and determined. For the love of her family, we will miss you. We love you and will always remember your strength and love.
Celebration of life services with viewing and visitation was held, 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel.
