Marvin Hewiett, age 80, of Live Oak, FL passed Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Shand’s Live Oak following a lengthy illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak and was a farmer. He loved gardening, cleaning yards, landscaping and fishing.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank & Carrie Hewiett and three brothers, Bunkey Hewiett, L.A. Hewiett and Lesley Hewiett and a sister Myrtis Hickox.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Hewiett, Live Oak; one son, Michael David Hewiett, Canton, GA; two daughters, Alisa Diane Sanders, Griffin, GA; Pamela Jean Standridge, Ackworth, GA; six step-sons, Faron Fillyaw, White Springs, FL; Jeffery Clark, Keaton Beach, FL; Charles Clark, Live Oak; Tracey Clark, Lake City; Thomas Phillips, Ackworth, GA; Lester Phillips, Carlton, GA; three step-daughters, Sandra Hunnicutt, Ballground, GA; Peggy Hagan and Tina Perry both of Live Oak; three brothers, Winford Ashley Hewiett, Adel, GA; Ronald Roy Hewiett, Lake City; Donald Toy Hewiett, Live Oak; four sisters, Mary Anderson, Live Oak; Flosie Mae Harris, St. Petersburg, FL; June Lee, Dowling Park, FL; Dorothy Ducksworth, Mayo, FL; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, twenty-seven step grandchildren and thirty-eight step great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held, 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in the Orange Baptist Church Cemetery with Windy Trippe officiating.
