When they moved to Live Oak, she took every berry and the leaf for it to the local county extension office to find out what it was and if jelly could be made from it, and make jelly she did! If it could be pickled, she pickled it. From cucumbers to okra and green beans. She kept family and friends stocked with jelly and pickles. She was a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she held the offices of Worthy Matron, Grand Page, Grand Instructor and Grand Escort.
