Mary Lou Parish April 17, 1928 April 27, 2009 Mary Lou Parish, 81 of McAlpin, Florida passed away Monday, April 27, 2009, at Shands of Live Oak in Live Oak, Florida following a lengthy illness. The Dothan, AL, native moved to Live Oak, FL in 1981 from Jacksonville, FL. She worked many years as owner/operator and beautician for Mary’s Beauty Shop and enjoyed flower gardening, playing cards and checkers. She was a member of the Pinemount Baptist Church in McAlpin, FL. She was predeceased by her husband, Dwight H. Parish, Sr. Survivors include one son, Dwight Hilson (Kathy) Parish, Jr., St. Augustine, FL; two daughters, Norma (Bill) Newell, McAlpin, FL; Connie Wilson, Deltona, FL; one brother, Damon (Jean) Ard of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Matthew Barker officiating.
