Matt Flythe

In loving memory of our family's hero Matt F. Flythe, of Live Oak, FL. Our beloved husband, father, granddaddy and papa passed away on January 19, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, Florida. He was 84 years old. Matt was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, and played semi-professional baseball for the Hornell Dodgers farm team. He loved his family and enjoyed baling hay in his younger years, and fishing and boating in his retirement. He lived for his wife of 58 years and his children and grandchildren. He loved being outdoors and talking to people. He is survived by his beautiful wife Frances Flythe, Live Oak; two daughters, Theresa McKenney, Cripple Creek, CO and Francine Waskiewitz, Highlands Ranch, CO; one sister, Jane Edwards, Frederick, MD; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held, 3:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2014 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery with military rites at the graveside.
