Matthew Eric Jenkins

Matthew Eric Jenkins, age 61, of Live Oak, FL passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. He was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak where he worked as a correctional officer for the State of Florida and was Christian by faith. Matthew had a wonderful sense of humor and loved watching and talking about everything surrounding football and was a serious Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, watching television and sharing a meal.

He was predeceased by his parents, Johnnie and Wanda Jenkins.

He is survived by one daughter, Tiffany (Timothy Topping, Live Oak, FL; one son, Matthew Eric (Brittany) Jenkins, Jr., Interlochen, FL; one brother, Joel Jenkins, St. Augustine, FL; three grandchildren, Amelia Topping, Matthew Jenkins, III and Anna Jenkins.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
