Michael Gene Ward age 60, of Gainesville, FL, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Shands UF in Gainesville, FL. He was born in Perry, FL moving to Gainesville, FL twenty years ago from Perry, FL. He worked in property management, owning and operating his own company for many years. Michael loved hunting and spending time with his family. His most cherished moments were the times he spent with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Eva Ward, a granddaughter Armani Clemons and stepson, David Lange.
He is survived by his son, Charles “Bubba” (Brittany) Ward, Live Oak, FL; step-son, Scott (Melissa) Freeman, Jacksonville, NC; daughter, Jeannie Ward, Perry, FL; step-daughter, Lindsey Freeman, Hawthorne, FL; one sister, Debra (Charles) Rowland, Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Brayden Ward, Audreyann Ward, Jayde Anderson, Jamarion Williams, and Will Sturdivant, Tayvon Clemons, Annabelle Freeman, Ansel Freeman.
