Mike Maloy, age 77 of Live Oak, FL passed away Monday evening, April 1, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center in, Dowling Park, FL. The Ft. Wayne, Indiana native moved to Live Oak, FL in 1985 from New Port Richey, FL. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Florida and played the trombone in the Gator Band. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve for two years. Mike was a private pilot, loved sailing and founded Sailing Adventures, Inc. He had a great passion for the outdoors, farming and riding motorcycles. He was the King of the Chasco Fiesta in New Port Richey and member of the Wellborn Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Norm Maloy, Swansea, IL; one daughter Wendy Stanley, Sunnyvale, CA; six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Jones officiating.
