Myra Vander Wal

Eva Myra Vander Wal, age 101, of Dowling Park, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL.  Myra was born on October 6, 1921 to Norman and Georgianna Peterson in Boston, Massachusetts.  She worked as a bank teller and lived at the beach for over twenty-eight years and loved collecting sea shells.  She moved to Dowling Park, FL in 1981 and was a member of the Bixler Advent Christian Church.

She is survived by one son, Nick (Carol) Vander Wal of South Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; one daughter, Carole Vander Wal of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held, 10:30 AM, Monday, April 17, 2023 in the Bixler Memorial Gardens West cemetery with Rev. Bruce Arnold officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Advent Christian Village, P.O. Box 4305, Dowling Park, FL 32064.
