Myrtle Lee Kirkland
April 19, 1930 — October 11, 2021
Myrtle Lee Kirkland , age 91, of Live Oak, FL, passed away, Monday, October 11, 2021 at her home following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak and a member of the Live Oak Church of God. Myrtle loved antiquing and traveling to the mountains. Her most treasured moments were times spent with her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leroy and Mamie Hurst; her husband, George Mitchell Kirkland, Jr.; two brothers, Leroy and Thomas Hurst; a son, Mitch Kirkland and two sisters, Neva Johnson and Faye Barrington.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Keith) Reppert, Live Oak, FL; Debbie (Carlton) DeLoach, Rydal, GA; one son, Jeff (Gwen) Kirkland, Live Oak, FL; a very special, sister-in-law, Lavinia Hurst; thirteen grandchildren and Ninteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 14, 2021 in the Live Oak Church of God with Rev. Carl Thomas officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
