Nelson Taylor Lilly

Nelson Taylor Lilly June 24, 1934*January 7, 2011 Nelson Taylor Lilly, age 76, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at his home in Live Oak. The Lexington, Kentucky native moved to Live Oak, FL in 1999 from Orlando, FL. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Marine Corp from 1952 until 1956. Nelson was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Korean Service Medal; UN Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After retiring from the plumbing business, he and his wife moved to Live Oak where he has called home for the past eleven years. He was predeceased by his wife Essie Lilly in 2009. Survivors include one son, Joseph Lilly, Marathon, FL; one daughter, Lucy Jean Langley, Winchester, KY; one sister, Mary Ann Blades, Lexington, KY, his nephew, Alan Stevers, Live Oak, FL and four grandchildren. As per his wishes, finalization was by cremation.
