Nicky Tsacrios

Nicky Mike Tsacrios February 18, 1922 January 20, 2009 Nicky Mike Tsacrios, 86 of Live Oak, Florida passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at his home in Live Oak, FL. The native and life long resident of Live Oak, FL was a graduate of Suwannee High School, attended the University of Florida where he played football for the Florida Gators from 1940 until 1942. Nicky was a member of Phi Delta Theta, Past President of the Live Oak Jaycees, Past President of Live Oak Kiwanis Club, Past President of Florida Telephone Pioneer Association and was a Major in the U.S. Army having served during WWII . He retired from Alltel Florida as General Personnel and Commercial Director. Nicky was the first inductee into the Suwannee Sports Hall of Fame. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the St. Lukes Episcopal church. Survivors include his wife, Edna Tsacrios, Live Oak, FL; two daughters, Joanna Millinor, Houston, TX; Coula Freeman, Lawrenceville, GA; one son, Nicky M. Tsacrios, Jr., Moundsville, W.V.; two sisters, Kathleen Talantis, Tallahassee, FL; Janet Gavalas, Tallahassee, FL; eight grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren. Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 22nd from 7 to 8 PM. Funeral services were held, 10:00 AM, Friday, January 23, 2009 at St. Lukes Episcopal Church with father Donald Woodrum officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
