Ocalita Violeta Salib-Fluchel, age 78, of Live Oak, FL passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015. She was born in the Oroquieta, Philippines and moved to Live Oak in 2000 to live with her daughter from Citrus County, FL. She was a seamstress and loved gardening and cooking up a Filipino fiesta. Her most treasured moments were spending time with her family. She was a wonderful, loving and caring mother and grandmother who adored her family with all her heart. She is survived by three sons, Alexander (Josie) Acedillo, Manila, Philippines; Harold (Andrea) Salib, Beverly Hills, FL; Frederick G. (Celeste) Fluchel, III, New Port Beach, CA; six daughters, Clarissa Acedillo, Nagoya-Shi, Aichi, Japan; Carolyn (Michael) Cairns, Dunnellon, FL; Shirley (Jim) TenBroeck, Live Oak, FL; Tracy Fluchel, Boone, NC; Marilou Conanan, Taguig, Philippines and Andrea Vicari, Whiteville, NC; one sister, Estela Giddens, Dowling Park, FL; twenty grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at the funeral home. Funeral services were held 10:00 A.M, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment followed in the Orange Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory, to Haven Hospice, 6037 Hwy 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055.
