Osmond Palmer

Osmond Palmer age 93, of Live Oak, Florida passed away early Tuesday morning, October 4, 2011 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was a native and life long resident of Live Oak, a self employed paint contractor and served the citizens of Suwannee County as a Commissioner from 1967 to 1969 and was past Chairman of the Suwannee County Democratic Executive Committee. Osmond was a member of Barrett Lodge #43 F & AM, Live Oak Shrine Club, Live Oak Jaycees, Morocco Temple and former member of the Florida National Guard. He enjoyed spending time boating and traveling and was a member of the Suwannee Boat Club and Westwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Palmer, Live Oak, FL; two daughters, Evelyn Palmer, Folkston, GA; Patsy (Bill) Schossler, Tallahassee, FL; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the services Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church.
Funeral services were held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2011 in the Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Kelly officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.
