Pascual Manuel "Manny" Ortiz

Pascual Manuel Oritz, “Manny” age 89, of Live Oak, FL passed away, Thursday, March 21, 2024 at his home following a lengthy illness. Manny was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, living most of his life in Seminole, Florida before moving to Live Oak, FL in 2023.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce having served during the Korean War.  He was a mechanical engineer inspector and a member of the St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Chicago, IL.  He loved spending time with his family, canoeing and fishing and was also a musician.

He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Cynthia Ramos and a great grandson, Michael Baker.

He is survived by one son, Grant Ortiz, Chicago, IL; five daughters, Vilma Ortiz, Chicago, IL; Dolores Ortiz, Seminole, FL; Diane (Granville) deFossard, Live Oak, FL; Linda Baker, Dunedin, FL and Wanda Ortiz, Santa Cruz, CA; twenty grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel.  We will update the time and date as soon as they become available.
