Pauline Carroll Gamble, Born – January 13, 1934
Passed on to our Heavenly Father Thursday, July 2, 2020. She was 86 years old.
Pauline was born and raised in Live Oak to George and Edna Carroll. Being the only daughter with four brothers she had to be tough but also so very caring. She tried to feed and take care of everyone. Living her entire life here, she found the love of her life, JB. They were married November 26, 1953, enjoying over 67 years together. Before having children of their own, she loved on her nieces and nephews. In 1965 they welcomed their first son, Bryan, and then Michael 3 years later.
She always did what she could for her boys – working at baseball fields and concession stands and anything else the boys were involved in. She had a servant’s heart and her family was her passion!
She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and worked (though she would never call it work) in the nursery for over 50 years, loving on any child that was brought in. She rocked many miles holding babies. She was always on hand to help with wedding and baby showers, and no special occasion would have been complete without her secret recipe punch.
She worked for the local phone company until retirement. After retirement her attention turned toward her grandsons. She loved keeping them and taking them places.
She is survived by her husband JB; Son Bryan (Stacey) Gamble; Son Michael Gamble, Granddaughter Sarah (Josh) Goddard, Grandsons Cody & Kyle Gamble, and 2 great-grandchildren.
