Phyllis Tuten, age 86, of Live Oak, FL, passed away, Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL. The Lacrosse, FL, native had lived in Live Oak since 2005, coming from Hernando, FL, before moving to Inverness, FL, a short time ago. She loved gardening, especially flowers and enjoyed camping and catching as many fish as she possibly could. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
Phyllis is survived by four sons; J.C. Tuten of Cross City, FL, Bill Tuten of Beverly Hills, FL, John Tuten of Jacksonville, FL and Lee (Jackie) Tuten of MacClenny, FL. Two daughters; Jeanie Vitt of Inverness, FL and Joan (James) Williams of Live Oak, FL. One sister, Mary Frances Batson of Arcadia, Fl. Nineteen grandchildren and many greatgrandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 14th, 2018, in the First Baptist Church of Live Oak at 11:00 AM with Rev. Phillip Herrington officiating. Viewing was held one hour prior to the service in the church starting at 10:00 AM. Interment followed in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Madison County, Fl.
