Ralph "Scott" Hulme

Ralph “Scott” Hulme, age 61 of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, later moving to Rochester, New York, and eventually to Jacksonville, Florida. After retirement from his career as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for the Department of Defense, he moved to Live Oak, Florida where he lived for the past 5 years. Prior to his long US Government career, Scott was a US Navy Veteran, having proudly served in the early 1980’s. Scott’s passions were many. He loved sports, travel and music of all kinds ranging from Jimmy Buffet tunes to classical symphonies. He learned to play the piano and despite his protests to the contrary, was quite accomplished in his ability. Being a native of Pittsburgh, Scott was an avid, lifelong, and loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins hockey, and Pirates baseball teams. He is survived by his wife, Lesia Hulme of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter Krissylynn (Gerald) Burdick of Rochester, New York; three stepsons, Nicholas (Ana) Powell of Live Oak, Florida, Jonathon (Cassandra) Powell of Palm Bay, Florida, Charles (Francheska) Powell of Wellborn, Florida; stepdaughter Kandi (Steven) Poff of Jacksonville, Florida; one brother, Art (Pam) Hulme of Cincinnati, Ohio, fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 5th, 2022 at 3:00PM in the Ferreira Funeral Home Chapel, 1320 South Chaffee Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32221. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at the Ferreira Chapel. Refreshments following the service. Interment will be held in the Mt. Royal Cemetery in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania on Friday, June 10th, time to be determined. Please keep the Hulme family in your prayers today and the days ahead.
