Raynette “PeeWee” Powell

Raynette “PeeWee” Powell age 70, of McAlpin, Florida passed away Sunday morning, July 3, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness. The Willoughby, Ohio native moved to Live Oak nineteen years ago from Miami, FL. Raynette was a loving mom and grandmom who adored her family with all her heart. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was very active in the church activities, choir, VBS and teaching children to sing.
Survivors include her husband, George Powell, McAlpin, FL; two sons, George (Sonya) Powell, Jr., McAlpin, FL; Terry (Susie) Powell, Live Oak, FL; one daughter, Tonette (Terry) Mobley, McAlpin, FL; two brothers, Ralph Korpi, McAlpin, FL; Butch Butcher, Oxford, GA; two sisters, Lynny Love, Jefferson, OH; Nina Finkelstein, Covington, GA; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Viewing and visitation was held one hour prior to the services at 3:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bob Richardson officiating.
