Richard "Rick" David Bernsee, Jr.

Richard David Bernsee, Jr. “Rick”, age 66, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Lake City Medical Center following a brief illness.  He was a native of Panama City, FL moving to Live Oak in 1991 from Odessa, FL.  Rick owned and operated Live Oak Diesel and loved riding motorcycles, hunting, diving, camping and playing golf. He was a member of the NRA and Christian by faith.

He is survived by his fiancé, Mary Davis, Live Oak, FL; four sons, Brett Bernsee and Travis Bernsee both of Palm Harbor, FL; Joshua (Brandi) Driver, Ocala, FL; Omar (Jessica) Vences, Gainesville, FL; two daughters, Sarah Burke, Palm Harbor, FL and Brittney Strickland, Douglas, GA; two brothers, Scott (Maryann) Bernsee, Palm Harbor, FL and John Bernsee, Blowing Rock, NC; one sister, Lori (David) Young, Raleigh, NC and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 30, 2021 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel.

Visitation was held from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
