Robert “Yankee” Anderson, age 80, of Live Oak, FL passed away late Saturday evening, October 15, 2016 at North Florida Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. “Yankee” as he was known by his family and friends, was born in Chicago, IL moving to Live Oak, FL in 1976 from Lexington, KY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Private First Class and worked for the Florida Sheriff’ Youth Ranches. He was a life-time member of the Live Oak Elks Lodge #1165 since 1978 and was exalted ruler two times. He was a member of the American Legion #407 and First Advent Christian Church. He loved bowling and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Carol Anderson, Live Oak; one son, Mark (Tammy) Anderson, Tampa, FL; one daughter, Doreen (Dale) Goolsby, Jasper, FL; one brother, Richard Anderson, Elmhurst, IL; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be held 11:00, AM, Friday, October 21, 2016 in the First Advent Christian Church with Rev. Tim Carver officiating.
