Robert "Bob" Bland
December 25, 1931 — September 3, 2024
Robert “Bob” Bland, age 92, of Live Oak, FL passed away Monday, September 3, 2024, at Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL following a lengthy illness. He was born in Robersonville, NC living in Live Oak, FL since 1942. He worked in construction as a carpenter and was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce having served during the Korean War. He was a coin collector and a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was better known by his grandchildren as "Papa Kitty".
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Irene Bland and his brother, Dallas Bland.
He is survived by one daughter, DeAnna (Steve) Fillyaw, Live Oak, FL; one brother, Paul Bland, Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 10:00 AM, Friday, September 6, 2024, in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wally Weaver officiating.
