Robert “Bobby” Marin, 72 of Live Oak, Florida passed away Tuesday, Sept.2, 2008, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. The Maracaibo, Venezuela, native moved to Live Oak, FL in 2001 from New York. He was a long haul truck driver who loved the open road. Bobby was very funny and loved telling jokes to make people laugh. Survivors include his companion Lynn Ashton, Live Oak; three sons, Robert Marin, St. Albans, NY; Timmy Hines, San Antonio, TX; Roger Marin, Baltimore, Maryland; four daughters, Jennifer Marin, Debra Young, Ava Samuel, Gail Pier; five brothers, Herbert Marin, Cape Coral, FL; William Marin, Queens Village, NY; Benjamin Marin, Atlanta, Ga; Nelson Marin, Queens Village, NY; Carlos Marin, Cabimas, VZ; two sisters, Gladys Marin and Elsa Marin both of Cabimas, VZ; seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 4th from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be held at Suwannee Station Baptist Church, Friday, Sept, 5th, 2008 at 11:00AM with Rev. Wilbur Woods officiating.
