Robert Nelson Mccarl

Robert “Bob” McCarl, age 79, of Live Oak, FL passed away, Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL following a lengthy illness. He was born in Boyers, PA moving to Live Oak in 1984.  He worked in the Telephone Industry for AT&T, IT&T and Alltel for many years.  He was also employed by FRU-CON Construction of Perry, FL and was Catholic by faith.  Bob was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and he loved watching football and fishing.

He was predeceased by his parents, David and Lucy McCarl and a brother, Nick McCarl.

He is survived by Sandra Sweat-McCarl, his daughter, Kim (Steve) Swartzel, and Kristen Carrolluzzi, his son, Jason McCarl, a step-daughter, Dee Dee (Ricky) Cathcart  and a step-son, Dion (Katie) Sweat;  two brothers, Jim McCarl and Donald (Lisa) McCarl, a sister-in-law, Pam McCarl; Fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel.

There will be a second celebration of life in Boyers, PA at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 Hwy 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055.
