Robert "Rob" Earl Moore

Robert Earl Moore, “Rob” age 68, of Live Oak, FL passed away at the Lake City VA Medical Center on Saturday, November 11, 2023 following a lengthy illness. Rob was born November 11, 1955 in Lake City, FL to J. Carl Moore, Sr. and Doris G. Moore.  Rob grew up in Live Oak, FL and graduated from Suwannee High School in 1973.  After high school, Rob joined the U.S. Army where he was a military policeman and an E-4.  He served from January 1974 to January 1977.  After being honorably discharged from the Army, he attended Tallahassee Community College in 1978-1979.  Rob spent most of his life long career in automobile and furniture sales and was of the Baptist faith.

Rob was predeceased by his parents, J. Carl Moore, Sr. and Doris G. Moore, his oldest brother, Julian Carl Moore, Jr. and his younger brother, Rick Moore.

He is survived by his son, Robert Julian Moore, sister, Sherri M. Foreman (Don), sister-in-law, Anne Moore, nieces and nephews, Karla M. Carter (Scott), Bubba Harris (Jess), Ty Ragans (Jess), Tiffany Peyton (Chris), Julie Saavedra (Oscar) and many great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Rob’s life was held, Friday, November 24, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lake City VA / Serenity Place Hospice, 619 S. Marion Avenue, Lake City, FL  32025 in memory of Robert E. Moore.
