Robert Edwin Smith, Sr.
November 5, 1936 — March 26, 2021
Robert “Edwin” Smith, Sr., age 84, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Suwannee Health Care Center in Live Oak following a brief illness. He was born in Jacksonville, FL living most of his life in Live Oak where he owned and operated the Smith family farm. He loved sharing his home grown crops with his family and friends over the years, in the farming business. Edwin also loved riding around on his Kubota with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Rocky Sink Baptist Church and Florida National Guard.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Vivian Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene Smith, Live Oak, FL; one son, Robert Edwin (Donna) Smith, Jr., Live Oak, FL; one sister, Patricia Lloyd, Del Rio, TX; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held, Monday, March 29th from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Graveside services were held, 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, 7042 SW 41st Avenue, Jasper, FL 32052 with Rev. Mike Chauncey and Rev. Gary Abbott officiating.
