Ronald Cogdill

Ronald C. Cogdill, age 84, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL.  He was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak where he worked in construction as a carpenter for many years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960 as an Airman Second Class.  Ronald was a hard worker and loved working.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and working in his yard.  Above all else, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Cogdill, Live Oak, FL; three daughters, Kim Zarillo, Melbourne Village, FL; Katrina Bius, Live Oak, FL and Paula Walker, Amsterdam, Netherlands; two grandsons he helped raise, that were like his sons, Matthew Bius and David Bius; one sister, Juanita (Jack) Markle, Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Matthew Bius (wife Tori), David Bius (wife Nichole), Alicia Frascatti, Jessica Davis (husband Steve) and six great grandchildren, Brycen Bius, Liam Bius, Elliot Frascatti, Tinleigh Bius, Brantley Bius and Ebba Bius; three nephews, Lloyd O’steen, Christopher Spriell and Michael Spriell; two nieces, Linda Spriell and Lauren Spriell.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 Hwy 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055.

Funeral services were held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 1, 2022, in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Owens, officiating. Interment was held in the Live Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be held, one hour prior to the services from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
