Ronald Clyde Lanier, age 86, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at his home. He was born in Fayetteville, NC living most of his life in Live Oak, FL, where he attended Suwannee County Schools, graduating in 1952. Ronald proudly served as sergeant in the Florida National Guard from 1954 until 1960. He worked as a Supervisor for Gold Kist Poultry Plant and was a member of the Live Oak Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge and the Philadelphia Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, collecting guns and was an avid Gator fan.
He was predeceased by his parents, Slim & Louise Lanier and a daughter, Karen Lanier Morrison.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Sadie Lanier, Live Oak; one daughter, Cindy (Randy) Curtis, Palatka, FL; four grandchildren, Shannon (David) White, Shawn Hamlin, Shannon (Jon) Cagan and Marisa (Martin) Casillas and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held, 11:30 AM, Thursday, November 12, 2020 in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Leroy Dobbs officiating.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 at the funeral home.
