Ruby Poole age 85, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. She was born in Lake Placid, FL living most of her life in Live Oak. She retired from North Florida Telephone Company and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Active in the P.T.A. and various church callings she was also a Past President of the Relief Society. She served a church mission in the Fiji Islands as well as a church mission to Charlotte, North Carolina to assist in the cleanup from Hurricane Hugo. Ruby was always quick with a smile and kind words to everyone she met. She dedicated her life to being a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Poole, Tallahassee, FL; David Poole, Live Oak; two daughters, Jeanie Poole Campbell, Tallahassee, FL; Penny Poole Harris, Live Oak; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, September 16, 2013 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Frank Allen officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.
