Ruby Jeane Rose

Ruby Jeane Rose age 81, of Dowling Park, FL passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at her home following a brief illness. The Charleston, WV native moved to Dowling Park, FL in 2008 from Musto, VA. While attending the Creston Advent Christian Church in Ohio, Ruby and her late husband, Rev. Donald Rose preached mostly in small churches that didn’t have a pastor, or were between pastors. They eventually pastured the Creston Advent Christian Church for nine years. Upon retirement from secular work they accepted the call to Victory Chapel Advent Christian Church in Highland County, where they served for ten years. She was employed by Curtis 1000 in Cleveland, OH and a member of the Victory Chapel Advent Christian Church, Musto, VA. Don said Ruby Jeane was the right hand of this union who did all the typing and record keeping. She listened when he grumbled and shared his dreams. They bowed their heads together and said “Thank you, Lord”. She is survived by Angie Shawver, Myrtle Beach, SC; two nephews, Steven Shawver, Sevierville, TN; Michael Shawver, Myrtle Beach, SC; one niece Amanda Shawver, Myrtle Beach, SC; four Great Nieces and her church family from Beachville Advent Christian Church and Victory Chapel Advent Christian Church in Musto, VA. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the Bixler Memorial Gardens East with Pastor Bruce Arnold officiating.
