Sarah Latrelle Oxford

Sarah Latrelle Oxford died peacefully in her sleep in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Tuesday, February 24, 2015. She was delivered by midwife, November 12, 1930, in Douglasville, Georgia. She is predeceased by her parents, Eddie H. Joyce and Wilma (Stevens) Joyce, and her late husband, Lennis C. Oxford, Sr. Sarah was of strong Christian faith and a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida. She was a homemaker most of her life, spending many hours working on the farm, and was employed by Gold Kist Poultry for 13 years. She loved to garden and can vegetables. She is survived by her three children, son Lennis C. Oxford, Jr. (Carolyn), daughter Brenda Cunningham (Jerry), son Charles Oxford (Susan), her grandchildren Daniel Oxford, Lennis C. Oxford III, MD, Logan Oxford, Lauren Oxford, Caitlin Oxford, Dustin Cunningham (Danielle), Brooke Cunningham, Brittany Oxford and Mallory Oxford. The family has requested donations to Haven Hospice, 6037 Hwy 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055, in lieu of flowers.
