Sheryl Severance Hunter

Sheryl Severance Hunter, age 68, formally of Live Oak, FL, passed away, Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Perry, FL following a sudden illness. She was born in Live Oak, FL living most of her life in Live Oak before retiring and moving to Dekle Beach, FL. a year ago. She loved to spend time with her family, boating, being on the Gulf, and going on cruises.

She was predeceased by her parents, Hubert & Florence Severance.

God put our Mom on the earth to be a caregiver and a nurse and she did it with absolute joy. She loved fiercely and considered herself to be a surrogate Mom to so many. She loved her family and all her friends with a selfless heart, she was our biggest supporter and cheerleader and we have all been blessed by her sweet and loving ways. Our lives will never be the same, but we are so thankful that we were able to call her ours.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Hunter, Dekle Beach, FL; one daughter, Ashley (Jason) Scarborough, Live Oak, FL; one son, Scott O. Hunter (Dana Carter), Tallahassee, FL; one brother, Donald Severance (Sherry), Maggie Valley, NC; three grandchildren, Sarah Hunter, Allie Scarborough and Maddie Scarborough.

Visitation was held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
