Sonny Story, age 81, of Live Oak, FL passed away Thursday morning, November 27, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. He was born in Canal Point, FL moving to Live Oak in 1985 from St. Cloud, FL. Sonny served as a Sargent in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He worked as a Crane Operator Engineer and was a Biological Scientist for the State of Florida. He loved to hunt, fish, cookout and golf. He was an avid Gator fan and race fan who loved NASCAR. He was a member of the Live Oak Elks Lodge and Operating Engineers #673. Above all else, Sonny loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Judy Story, Live Oak; one son, Ryder Story, Scottsmoor, FL; two step-sons, Daniel Wallace and Justin Wallace both of Live Oak; three daughters, Debbie Story, Miami, FL; Sandy Lundy, Moore Haven, FL; Donna Betz, Scottsmoor, FL; his mother-in-law, Lois Ambrose, Live Oak; three sisters, Verna Atkins, Live Oak; Gail Story, St. Cloud, FL; Elaine Hahn, Orlando, FL; One sister-in-law, Edna Mae Story, Live Oak; sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Viewing and visitation were held, Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home.
